Your Own Director — a nine-lesson course that gets your Mac filing, running, judging and reporting …

Problem. The buyer has the tools (Claude Code, notes, a to-do app) but no operating system around them. Work only moves while they sit at the keyboard. Nothing turns what they say into a task with a due date and acceptance checks, runs it overnight, judges the result and hands them a short morning list of what needs them. They have tried ad-hoc prompts and scripts, and nothing stays running.

Who. Solo consultants, creators and micro-agency owners, business or individual buyers only, who already pay for Claude Code. Today they are on freebeer.ai/deals (some bought the $49 Director Pattern kit), reading the Free Beer newsletter, or following hughmann.life, and they are running agents by hand, one session at a time.

Must.

• Nine lessons written to the M-057 standard. Lesson 1 is free and the rest are gated by purchase through fbs-chassis's existing /account.
• A downloadable director template: task/goal schema, a runner with only the claude and local runners, judge prompts, a morning briefing and one example goal. No tenants, Omnissa or life machinery, Buzz, or capture pipeline.
• A first-task builder that turns a plain-language intent into a valid task file with acceptance checks, matching the template's schema.
• A setup checker: the buyer pastes the output of the template's doctor command and gets pass/fail on 20 named checks, so they know the loop really runs.
• Per-lesson progress on the buyer's account.
• A plain license and boundary note: single-operator use, the buyer brings their own Claude subscription, and a statement of what the template leaves out.
• A 30-day refund stated on the landing page.

Signal. 5 waitlist sign-ups or 1 pre-order within 14 days of the landing page going up. Then 10 paid buyers by day 90, which opens the install tier. Kill: fewer than 5 buyers by day 90.

Output. Access to nine lessons, the director-template download, a first task file they generated from their own words, and a green 20-check setup report. Within a week, their Mac files, runs, judges and reports work they described in plain language, and they get a morning briefing.

Investment case

• Buyer. A one-person consultant, creator or micro-agency owner (business or individual buyer, no public-sector buyers) who already pays for Claude Code or a comparable coding agent, has likely bought or browsed the $49 Director Pattern kit, and wants work to run while they are away.
• Price. $299 one-time — Sits between the $49 kit that anchors the low end and the $200–$500 range that solo-operator systems courses sell at; one-time fits the course tier, and the recurring $99/month is reserved for the install tier once 10 course buyers exist. Wayne sets the final number.
• Path to market (owned channels).
