Something to write or teachIn the factoryOctober 18, 2026

Teachers are handed AI tools with no practical guidance: what to use it for, what never to, and how to keep the thinking in the classroom.

The spec

What the factory will build, as it stands. Say what it should change in the comments.

Assembled by the director on 2026-10-18 from ventures/practical-ai-for-teachers/VENTURE.md and ventures/s08-kdp/practical-ai-for-teachers/kdp-metadata.md; a draft for Wayne's revision on the product details page. The factory builds to the current version.

Problem. Teachers are handed AI tools with no practical guidance: what to use it for, what never to, and how to keep the thinking in the classroom.

Who. K-12 and college teachers buying a paperback or reading on freebeer.ai/learn; no selling to districts (the day-job line).

Must.

  • A print-ready interior (ventures/s08-kdp/practical-ai-for-teachers/book.pdf) built from the manuscript by build.mjs; a KDP listing (kdp-metadata.md); the author is Wayne, the imprint Free Beer Studio, the voice WAYNE.md.
  • The book's ladder: outline → sample → chapters → manuscript review → edit → production → production review (the current gate) → listed → launch.
  • The course it grew from stays on freebeer.ai/learn; the book cites it.

Signal. The production review passed by Wayne; the first KDP sales.

Output. A KDP paperback at $14.99 and the listing; the product page and the launch pieces.

Investment case

  • Buyer. A teacher who wants a practical, honest guide.
  • Price. $14.99 one-time (KDP paperback).
  • Path to market. KDP; freebeer.ai/learn; the newsletter.
