freebeer.ai, the Free Beer Studio web app
A one-person studio with a factory of agents needs one place where ideas come in, get decided, get built and get sold — and where the public can watch and take part — without a stack of separate tools.
The spec
What the factory will build, as it stands. Say what it should change in the comments.
Assembled by the director on 2026-10-18 from ~/brand-freebeer docs/studio.md, CLAUDE.md and the decisions M-088 to M-108; a draft for Wayne's revision on the product details page. The factory builds to the current version.
Problem. A one-person studio with a factory of agents needs one place where ideas come in, get decided, get built and get sold — and where the public can watch and take part — without a stack of separate tools.
Who. Wayne (the admin), the studio's customers (the portal), and the public (the roadmap, the catalog, the articles, the newsletter).
Must.
- The public site: the home page, the roadmap (/ideas) with voting and comments, the catalog (/products) and product pages, articles, the newsletter, Beer Bonds, the build-your-own offer; the Small Software design (M-088), light, Inter, purple; the Ideas in, Software out rebrand (M-094).
- The customer portal (/account): purchases, contributions (ideas, votes, comments, the studio's notes), projects.
- The admin (/admin): Home (the engine's door, what waits on Wayne, the pitches with Approve · Gather feedback · Revise · Marketing · Convert · Not for now), Ideas (the roadmap with every verb on the card), Marketing (the next seven days, the editor's placements), Products (the lifecycle, the product details page with the spec first), People & money (the CRM), Settings.
- The mothership's feeds: ideas (pull and write-back), the lifecycle document, the marketing snapshot, desk actions, proof;
STUDIO_DATABASE_URL, neverDATABASE_URL. - Every change verified in the browser on the local dev against the preview database before main; main is deployed by Vercel.
Signal. Wayne runs the business from /admin every morning; customers use the portal; ideas arrive from the public.
Output. The site at freebeer.ai (repo freebeerstudio/FreeBeerAI), on Vercel and Neon.
Investment case
- Buyer. The studio itself; the public through what it sells.
- Price. Free to use; the products and kits it sells carry the prices.
- Path to market. It is the market: the roadmap, the catalog, the newsletter.

This idea is in the factory, so comments are read-only until it ships. The thread stays.
